We have all heard horror stories about companies treating customers wrong.

Whether it was a lottery system that was broken (McDonald’s and Pepsi) or a fight with employees (United Airlines) people need to feel the value with good customer health.

Here are 10 examples of bad customer health and how to fix them.

  1. United Airlines-kick out person out of the plane. United Airlines got in trouble for forcefully removing a man from the plane. Airlines operate so that they are filled to capitcity. When no one decided to leave they try to kick off the man. The man-named David Dao didn’t want to get off and fight with the employees. He broke some of his teeth, had a concusion, and a broken nose. United paid about 140 Million dollars but the repetiation of the company has been drastically hurt.
  2. Pespi-In the 1990s, in the Philipines Pespi launched a number lottery fever. This resulted in the number 439 beening the winning number. Pespis gain a large amount of market share from Coke Cola. Pepsi had promised the winner 70,000 USD for the number 439. Pepsi had made hundreds of 439 and when people didn’t get there money they had a riot and 5 people died. Pepsi paid out over million of dollars to the winners and no longer operates in the Philipines.
  3. McDonalds-McDonalds had over heated coffee beyond industry standrad. The tempature they kept the coffee at had caused over 700 seprate burns. When an old 70 year lady by the name of Stella Liebick had gotten third degree burns. She went to court to ask Mcdonald’s to pay for her medical bills. In the end frachises change coffe tempature to ensure less burns happend.
  4. Johnson and Johnson-Johnson and Johnson is the manfactor of respidal which is a drug to help with ADHD, anixety and depression. When futher resarch was done on the drug, they discover that when given in high doses and over a long period of time. Boy begin to develop breasts. The total payout in the lawsuit has a 8 billion dollar fine to Johnson and Johnson.
  5. Whataburger-Whataburger had a problem in one of it locations. The location had picked up a rat. The rat ran around the restarunt while a team member was recording it. The rat jump into a frier to a untimely death. This tranished Whataburger reputation and had that location shut down temporaliy.
  6. New Balance-Three woman named Kimberly Care, Victoria Molinaro, and Shannon Dilbreck sued New Balance because New Balance claim that True Balance and Rock and Tone shoes help tone butts and lose weight compared to normal sneakers. SInce the company was mislead customer each of them got a payout of 5,000 dollars each and a $100 rebate for the shoes.
  7. Volkswagon-Volkswagon was cheating on emisson test in the USA. It was discover by a sceince experiment. Volkswagon had a special testing mode that would go on that would make the car seem less pollutive than it actually was. Volkswagon had to pay 14.8 Billion dollars in total fees for cheating.
  8. Dannon-The french yougrut manufactor had a lawsuit against it where it claim that the yougurt improved gut health. When this was later found to be not true Dannon had to pay 45 million in fees because the gut health claim was untrue.
  9. Noodles and Company-Noodles and Company got in trouble from not upgrading it credit card system. Noodles and Company had a old credit card system and some hacked the credit cards. Noodles and Company would have gone under if a private equity company hadn’t given them a loan to upgrade the credit card system.
  10. Visa and Mastercard-Visa and Mastercard got in a lawsuit over companies be unfairly charged for unfair swipe charges. They both were held repsonsible. The total amount to pay was up to $6.2 billion combined.
