Is CEO pay fair? Most CEOs make millions of dollars while workers make a lot lower sum than the CEO. To understand the CEO’s high compensation we must first look at the pay structure.
CEO has a base salary of anywhere from $1 to $4 million. CEOs then also get bonuses in cash and benefits. CEOs also get stock options or get awarded stock. In total the combined value could be 5.0 million to 200 million.
Here is why I think CEOs are paid fair. CEO has a short time frame. Most CEOs don’t stay with a company for a long time. If the CEO remains for the company for more than a decade then the company will pay the CEO accordingly. CEOs impact is only shown by decades.
